Be part of a small team of experts dedicated to the
administration of our Linux Systems, in a very diverse and challenging
environment and industry. Your main duties will be :
- Main
duties:
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows and Linux systems virtualization platforms.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployment and infrastructure automation.
- Ensure IT systems and applications maintain high availability, integrity, security, and optimal performance.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Diagnose, resolve, and track incidents while identifying and analysing recurring issues.
- Manage daily infrastructure operations, emphasizing scalability and reliability.
- Contribute to the continuous enhancement of the production environment, including developing and maintaining relevant documentation.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends within your area of expertise, including cloud-native solutions.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize workflows and promote DevOps culture across the organization.
- Implement robust monitoring and alerting.
- Participate in IT security and systems-related projects, focusing on automating compliance and vulnerability remediation.
- Occasionally provide administrative assistance related to operational activities.

Minimum required criteria:
- Be holder of a bachelor’s degree “BAC& 3” in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience in a similar position
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security principles.
- Demonstrate knowledge in managing and configuring current Linux systems
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills
- Possess strong skills in bash, python and ansible
- Proven experience with automation and scripting
- Have good knowledge of system virtualization and containerization
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of cluster environments.
- Have a proven experience in managing a Storage Area Network (SAN)
- Provide knowledge in Backup and Recovery
- Demonstrate skills in Business Continuity Planning
- Show strong communication and adaptation skills
- Be accurate, detail oriented and reliable
- Be able to work team-oriented and independently
- Accept to be part of the IT On-Duty team
- Be familiar with standard office applications
- Show good communication skills in English; language skills in French or German are an advantage
Desired or to be acquired criteria:
- Have knowledge of:
- RHEL operating systems, including Docker infrastructure
- Automation & CI/CD software
- EMC Networker backup software - Show skills in installations and maintenance of DMZ environments
- Demonstrate skills with WEB middleware
- Have a proven experience with LDAP
- Knowledge of Linux security best practices, including firewalls (iptables, firewalld) and SELinux/AppArmor.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning and hardening Linux systems.
- Show a strong ability to communicate at all levels, both inside and outside the company
- Eagerness to stay updated with evolving technologies and open-source tools.
- Show user skills in the tools used in the department
- Demonstrate a good sense of urgency and flexibility
- Maintain the strict confidentiality of the data.
- Clear documentation and communication of processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
The ideal candidate:
- Provides a proven experience with Kubernetes
- Shows an experience with APIs and event driven architecture
- Is familiar with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Possesses Linux Certifications: RHCSA, RHCE, LPIC, or CompTIA Linux+.
- Knowledge of Luxemburgish or any other language is considered as asset.
