Your mission :

We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our database environments. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, security, and integrity of SQL databases while supporting application development and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SQL database systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Willing to learn Oracle, MariaDB basics to ensure L1 troubleshooting
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement tuning and optimization strategies
• Ensure data integrity, availability, and security through backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
• Manage database access, permissions, and security policies
• Perform regular database maintenance (indexing, patching, cleanup)
• Design and implement backup and recovery strategies
• Collaborate with developers to optimize queries, schemas, and stored procedures
• Support production and non-production database environments
• Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices
• Ensure compliance with data protection and security standards
• Participate in on-call support and incident response

Your profile :

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience as a SQL Database Administrator
• Expertise in SQL and database architecture
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery techniques
• Familiarity with operating systems (Linux and/or Windows)
• Understanding of database security best practices
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud database platforms (Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL)
• Knowledge of high availability and replication solutions
• Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
