This role offers a key opportunity to support and strengthen the Finance and Operations function within a dynamic Luxembourg environment.
Your primary focus will be for financial control, with responsibility for overseeing financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations, and acting as a key business partner to internal stakeholders. You will contribute to robust financial control, effective budgeting and forecasting processes, and the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
You will also act as the key point of contact and subject matter expert for operations and HR related matters, which will include providing local operational support across HR, recruitment, payroll and employee lifecycle processes, working to help ensure local compliance, support Group initiatives and improve ways of working.

About the role
Financial Control
Working as part of a collaborative team, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality financial and accounting services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the overall accounting function, including the maintenance of accurate books and records in accordance with Lux GAAP;
- Overseeing the preparation of statutory financial statements (P&L, balance sheet);
- Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting;
- Preparing and monitoring budgets and forecasts;
- Leading audit preparation and acting as the main point of contact for external auditors;
- Liaising with external stakeholders (auditors, banks, tax advisors, etc.);
- Preparing VAT and corporate tax forms;
- Preparing regulatory reporting as required by the CSSF and other Luxembourg authorities;
- Supporting management through the preparation of financial analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs);
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and controls;
- Participating in ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives.
HR and Operations Lead
- Provide operational support to the Luxembourg office across key HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, employee lifecycle administration, coordination of annual pay review and performance management cycles;
- Manage payroll and benefit administration processes, ensuring compliance with Luxembourg labour regulations;
- Act as the local point of contact for HR operational matters, ensuring compliance with Luxembourg requirements, and taking into account Mourant Group policies where appropriate;
- Act as the Luxembourg point of coordination for Group operations initiatives, including system implementations, transformation projects, and operational change programmes;
- Identify and implement improvements to operational processes to enhance productivity, cost control, and reporting quality.
About you – essential requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field;
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in finance/accounting, ideally within a fiduciary, PFS, asset manager, or similar environment in Luxembourg;
- Strong knowledge of Lux GAAP and solid understanding of Luxembourg tax and payroll frameworks;
- Experience managing audits and regulatory reporting (CSSF);
- Fluent in English; French is a strong asset;
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels;
- Ability to work independently and take ownership while contributing effectively within a team environment;
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
