Role/ Department:


As Senior Relationship Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building a deep understanding of each client’s strategic ambitions, allowing Northern Trust to proactively identify and deliver tailored solutions that enhance both new and existing partnerships. By strategically aligning client objectives with Northern Trust’s own growth ambitions, you will ensure the delivery of exceptional service and sustained value. Reporting directly to Caroline Fauville, you will be accountable for client satisfaction at the highest level and maintaining trusted relationships with C-Level executives. This position places you at the forefront of our organization's strategic leadership, fostering cross-functional collaboration to drive client success and support our continued, scalable commercial growth across the region. You will effectively manage multiple client relationships across a range of products, including custody, fund accounting and transfer agency, making risk-informed decisions and providing world-class service to internal and external clients while ensuring the ongoing development of client partnerships and related revenues.


The key responsibilities of the role include:


  • Developing excellent working relationships with senior stakeholders in the client organization
  • Driving initiatives for client driven product development requirements; working closely with the various product teams
  • Owning the Legal and commercial relationship of NT negotiating & executing on fees, contracts and rebids
  • Monitoring performance against contractual agreements
  • Cross-selling of additional products and jurisdictions to the existing clients while. supporting sustained and scalable growth
  • Pricing new and additional business opportunities for existing clients
  • Maintaining the client governance and actively contributing to its application
  • Identify, document and manage client related risk issues
  • Adhering to internal risk management procedures
  • Actively participating to project’s covering client fund launches, mergers and closures
  • Mobilising and connecting client needs with broader NT Operations, Products and Transformation teams
  • Utilising Industry Trends to engage and explore commercial opportunities within NT and directly with clients
  • Leading relationship management position at internal steering groups or committees


Skills/Qualifications:


The successful candidate will benefit from having:

  • A proven track record in the industry, with a preference for at least 8-10 years’ experience working in all aspects of the funds / securities business
  • Experience of and accountability for profitability management and increasing revenue through effective client relationships.
  • Establish commercial relationships with C level Client Stakeholders
  • Presented & participated in client pitches and review meetings
  • Developed client orientated solutions
  • Managed multiple internal & external stakeholders over several servicing locations through client related projects

About Our Luxembourg Office


In 2024, the Northern Trust Luxembourg office celebrated their 20th anniversary, an important chapter in their history. Having opened in 2004 to support one client, they have since grown their client base substantially and increased their headcount significantly, which now stands at over 400.
