Your mission :
Overview: The European Commission is looking for an AI4Dev Service Owner to lead and evolve its AI as a Service offering for software development teams.
AI4Dev is a centrally managed service designed to support developers in using AI agents and tools across the software development lifecycle, transforming isolated experimentation into a governed, scalable capability. The role is primarily focused on service ownership: roadmap definition, stakeholder engagement, service evolution and user adoption. The remaining part requires sufficient technical understanding of AI technologies to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and support strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own the AI4Dev service: vision delivery, roadmap, priorities and service lifecycle
• Define and track service KPIs (adoption, usage, user satisfaction, cost) and report on them to stakeholders
• Identify improvement opportunities based on performance data, user feedback and market developments
• Coordinate technical team to deliver the service
• Gather, analyze and prioritize user feedback, with a visible feedback loop back to users
• Drive adoption across development teams through onboarding, documentation, training, demos and success stories
• Build and support the AI developer community
• Act as the main interface between business stakeholders, users and technical teams
• Drive the continuous evolution and adoption of the service.
Your profile :
Required Experience:
• 5+ years as Service Owner, Product Owner or Product Manager of digital services or platforms (AI domain is preferred)
• Experience managing digital services or platforms across their lifecycle (launch, evolution, adoption)
• Strong stakeholder and community management experience
• Experience working with software engineering or DevOps teams
• Experience defining and managing product or service roadmaps, ideally with measurable KPIs
Required Skills:
• Strong service ownership and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Strong understanding of AI and Generative AI concepts, and of their use cases across the software development lifecycle (code generation, review, testing, documentation)
• Knowledge of the current AI developer tooling landscape - AI coding assistants and agentic IDEs (e.g. Kiro, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and their open source equivalents
• Familiarity with open source AI technologies
• Ability to understand technical concepts and trade-offs without being a hands-on AI engineer
• Comfortable defining and using service metrics to drive decisions
• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
Mandatory Requirements
• Fluent English (C1 or higher)
• Experience with AI platforms, AI-enabled services or developer experience (DevEx) products
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants or agentic IDEs in a development workflow
Nice to Have
• Agile certification (Scrum, AgilePM or equivalent)
• SAFe certification or experience working in a SAFe environment
• ITIL Foundation or practical experience with IT service management
• Working knowledge of French
