We are representing a leading international financial services and digital payments provider that has been established in Luxembourg for over a decade. To reinforce their stable and multicultural finance department, they are looking for an experienced Senior GL Accountant (7-10 years of experience).
In this role, you will act as a technical specialist, providing high-level accounting expertise and supporting financial decision-making within a dynamic, English-speaking environment.
Senior GL Accountant - Your responsibilities:
- To handle daily bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and complex bank and balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with IFRS standards.
- To manage monthly accounting closings to tight deadlines and prepare financial statements with insightful commentary for headquarters.
- To act as the primary contact for external statutory audits and coordinate with international accounting service providers.
- To support accurate and timely tax reporting, ensuring all legally required information is submitted to government authorities such as the BCL and Statec.
- To analyze financial data and generate actionable insights that strengthen financial stability and improve operational efficiency.
Senior GL Accountant - Your profile:
- Experience: 7 to 10 years of Luxembourgish professional experience in accounting, ideally within the Fintech or Banking sectors.
- Education: Relevant degree (bachelor or master) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken). Professional proficiency in French is a strong asset.
