Intern quantitative for the Investment Management industry

Our Investment Management Reporting (IM) services department is specialized in the design, implementation, operation and production of various institutional investors and regulatory reporting for our IM clients.

We are looking for our new trainee to join the team. 

We expect you to 

• Be part in a moving and constant evolving client servicing department;
• Be interested in financial instruments and analytics;
• Support our various business lines with IT oriented solutions;
• Ensuring the delivery of high-quality reporting services by contributing to the development and improvement of our internal reporting system;
• Staying up to date with latest developments in application coding to propose their implementation within the business teams.

What you will do :

IT DEVELOPPEMENT

• Write efficient and maintainable Python code for data analysis, model development, and internal library implementation.
• Create robust Python libraries with a focus on quality and adherence to industry-leading development standards.
• Demonstrate strong unit testing skills by designing and implementing comprehensive test suites to ensure the reliability and functionality.
• Maintain detailed documentation of code, algorithms, and research findings to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance with industry regulations.
• Collaborate with the project team to comprehensively analyze and assess new development initiatives.
• Uphold accountability for meeting project deadlines and budget constraints.

TEAM ASSISTANCE

• Provide valuable technical support to the team, leveraging your expertise and tools.
• Deliver training programs to team members as needed, ensuring their proficiency in relevant skills.
• Foster and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues to promote a collaborative and productive work environment. 

INNOVATION

• Code reviews and optimization
• Develop/Innovate new tactical systems to improve work quality and efficiency

Who you are :

• Be enrolled in a master’s degree in mathematics (Statistics) 
• Strong proficiency in Python programming and experience with libraries such as NumPy, pandas, and SciPy
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and code optimization
• Hold proven IT skills and excellent knowledge of Python, SQL, any other IT language is an asset
• Interest in new technologies (AI, machine learning)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Demonstrate an ability to work autonomously as well as be part of a team
• Be rigorous, quality driven, result-oriented with excellent analytical and synthetic skills
