Manager Flight OPS Engineering (m/f)

For our department Ops Engineering within LuxairAirlines, we are looking for a (an):

Manager Flight OPS Engineering (m/f)

Main duties:

• Manage the Department and the dedicated staff including the task distribution
• Be the key contact for technical operational matters in case of need and inform the Vice President
• Be in charge of Flight Operations Projects
• Perform all duties of the "Officer Flight Operations Engineering"
• Perform the duties of deputy EFB administrator which consists in:
  -Assist the EFB Administrator on his tasks
  -Take over all duties and responsibilities of the EFB administrator in his absence
  -Be responsible for the EFB training and training material.

Required profile:

Minimum required criteria:

• Provide a master degree
• Have a proven technical, aeronautical or aviation experience of min 5 years
• Have solid knowledge in "Operations Engineering" matters or equivalent experience
• Have good leadership skills to lead a team of engineers and experts
• Have strong organizational skills and a clear sense of priorities
• Be detail oriented and reliable
• Show a strong sense of responsibility
• Show a strong ability to communicate at all levels, both inside and outside the company
• Demonstrate a strong affinity for a wide range of software applications
• Strong Knowledge of EASA Air Ops regulations and ICAO standards
• Be Familiar with the Electronic Flight Bag application
• Be familiar with standard office applications
• Maintain the strict confidentiality of the data
• Have proven experience in Project management and software implementation
• Accept Duty Travel
• Show experience with safety and security risk analysis
• Show excellent communication skills in English as well as skills in French or German (spoken and written)
• Be Stress resistant
• Show good negotiations skills

Desired or to be acquired criteria:

• Refer to the training table (same as for the Officer Flight Operations Engineering)
• Maintain a strict confidentiality of the data, source code and all related operating matters
• Show minimum knowledge in EU (EASA)-OPS and aeronautical documentation
• Show in depth knowledge of aircraft performance
• Show an initial knowledge of ATC Flight planning
• Show user skills in specific Flight OPS applications
• Show basic knowledge of systems architecture and software implementation
• Show strong analytic skills.

The ideal candidate:

• University degree in aeronautics or equivalent and at least 5 year experience in Flight operations
• Previous Experience in managing an operations engineering department
• Strong knowledge of EFB systems
• Knowledge of Luxemburgish or any other language is considered as asset.
