Fund Accounting Technical Expert - Private Equity & Real Estate

To support its growing activities in the field of Private Equity and Real Estate, our client is looking for its new Expert in Fund Accounting, having a global view on the funds' lifecycle (accounting, reporting, consolidation, investor services, capital increase...).

Description

As a Technical Expert for Fund Accounting, your role will involve providing support and handling complex technical matters within the PERE department, encompassing various aspects such as Accounting, Reporting, Investor Relations, and Consolidation. Additionally, you will be responsible for training, facilitating, and contributing to the development of the service.

In this role you will be responsible for the analysis of complex technical issues related to Alternative Investment Funds, including:

• Accounting standards, primarily LuxGAAP, USGAAP, UKGAAP, and IFRS
• Comprehensive understanding of the entire NAV calculation process
• Modeling of Waterfall, Management Fees and other variable fees
• Analysis and understanding of legal documentation
• Preparation of technical notes and memoranda on the most complex subjects to enhance service efficiency and effectiveness
• Providing support and technical expertise to operational teams, being one of the internal Subject Matter Expert for any subject linked to PE & RE central administration
• Be in contact with client when needed for any technical question
• Organize internal trainings on PE & RE fund accounting topics to enhance the skills of colleagues on Alternative Investment Funds topics.

This role is offering a wide range of tasks from daily accounting production and/or oversight, process improvement, to coaching and training.

You will also be involved in cross-functional projects.

Profile

Your profile:

• University diploma in finance, accounting or equivalent
• At least 8 years' experience in fund accounting for AIFs in a bank, service provider, audit or consulting
• Good knowledge of Private Equity, Real Estate funds or Securitization
• Good knowledge of Lux Gaap and US Gaap. Knowledge of UK Gaap is an asset.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; French is an asset
• Good organization, analytical, attention to details
• Team-spirit, with good communication skills
