Senior Accountant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Luxembourg.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration, bookkeeping, and preparation of financial statements for a portfolio of Luxembourg SPVs and funds. You will work closely with clients, advisors, and auditors, ensuring seamless interaction and managing key financial processes such as NAV calculations, VAT & tax returns, and periodic CSSF/BCL reporting.

As part of this fast-paced environment, you'll be involved in preparing quarterly and year-end closings, liaising with investors, and assisting in board meetings. You'll also have the opportunity to coach and mentor junior team members, sharing your knowledge and guiding new joiners to excel within the team.

About the role

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for the day-to-day administration, bookkeeping and preparation of financial statements for various Luxembourg SPVs and funds;
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end closings including related NAV calculations (where required);
• Liaise and interact with clients, client advisors, investors, auditors (dealing with audit queries) and any other third parties;
• Coordinate and arranging investor servicing, including investor on-boarding and investors’ transactions;
• Read and understand transactional legal documents/contracts to translate them into the books;
• Assist in the organization of board meetings and shareholders’ meetings;
• Prepare VAT & Tax returns;
• Prepare the periodic CSSF/BCL reporting and any other funds related reports;
• Assist in the preparation of consolidated accounts (where required);
• Undertake any project work as required, undertaking initiatives identified and designated from time to time by your direct Manager;
• Share your knowledge and experience with your colleagues;
• Coach and review the work of other team members;
• Act as a role model for new joiners in the team in order to train and guide them.

About you – essential requirements

• Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Accounting, Audit or Economics (ACA/ACCA/CIMA would be an asset);
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in the fields of alternative investment fund administration or audit firms;
• Detailed knowledge of LUXGAAP accounting principles, IFRS is a plus;
• Good knowledge of fund industry, holding and finance structures;
• Have advanced skills on MS Office tools and BOB50;
• Private Capital Suite (formerly Investran) and Yardi knowledge would be a strong asset;
• Fluent in English (knowledge of French will be considered as an asset);
• Responsive and client focused with strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
• Ability to interact effectively (oral and written) with contacts both within and outside the company at all seniority levels;
• You possess team spirit, a capacity to build strong client relationships and take initiative to act without waiting for direction (when appropriate)
