Regulatory Services Consulting Associate - Banking Industry (m/f)

PwC Luxembourg's Regulatory Compliance Advisory Services department provides regulatory assistance to the Luxembourg financial sector. In an increasingly complex regulatory environment, our team of 85 professionals, has as its main tasks to assist clients in understanding and complying with new regulatory requirements (e.g. advice on new standards related to environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria applicable to financial products and market participants, analysis and implementation of standards related to data protection or investor protection) and to review existing processes in the light of these. We also assist our clients in the various authorisation or notification processes with the Luxembourg regulator for the development of new activities (e.g. creation of a management company, bank or the launch of investment funds such as UCITS, AIFs, SIFs).

In this context, as a consultant, you will be required to

• Keeping you informed and understanding the new European and Luxembourg provisions affecting the financial sector and analysing their practical impact for our clients;
• Participate in working groups on current regulatory issues;
• Collaborate with our experts on the production of client deliverables;
• Assist our clients in reviewing and analysing their procedures and internal governance in relation to market practices and regulatory requirements;
• Drafting and upgrading the latter to ensure our clients' compliance with applicable regulations;
• Contribute to the analysis, drafting and review of approval and notification files in the context of our clients' business development;
• You will also be responsible for developing your soft-skills and internal relationships within the PwC network as well as technical expertise on international regulatory issues;

Your profile

• You have a university degree, ideally with a specialisation in banking, finance law or economics;
• You have knowledge of the main regulations and issues affecting the financial sector (banks, management companies) and wish to deepen your understanding; 
• You have a strong team spirit and are willing to work in a multidisciplinary and international team while being autonomous;
• You have excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English - knowledge of German is considered an asset;
• You have completed an internship or gained initial work experience in a legal/compliance department or in a company in the financial sector (e.g. law firm specialising in business law, bank, asset manager/management company or other PFS) or acquired sector knowledge through your studies.
