At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our UniQue team.
What will you be bringing to the team?
• Manage, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and ensure cloud environment operations
• Set automation standards and ensure proper usage across development, testing, and operations
• Define technical/business requirements for automation tools, maintain documentation, and enforce compliance
• Enforce mechanisms to ensure compliance with automation policies
• Streamline development, testing, and deployment processes, minimizing bottlenecks and optimizing performance
• Collaborate closely with Developers and other teams to ensure the infrastructure and automation they build support rapid, secure, and reliable software delivery
• Collaborate with QA professionals to help ensure end-to-end quality
• Contribute to discussions on architecture, performance tuning, and middleware integration
• Document policies for automation tool administration and management
• Conduct DevOps performance assessments and identify improvement opportunities
• Analyze service stack for resiliency and efficiency
• Lead design solutions for validating environment deployments
• Design solutions capable of retrieving, altering, and reusing test data
• Develop, scale, and control strategies, standards, guidelines, and governance.
Requirements
What do you need to succeed in this position?
• University degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in IT OR non-university degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in IT
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Automation Architecture, and/or CI/CD Engineering
• Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms like Azure, including cloud-native services, resource optimization, cost management, and security best practices
• Expertise in Kubernetes (both basic and advanced operations, such as autoscaling, ingress controllers like Nginx, and container orchestration), Docker, Service Oriented Architecture, and/or Microservices
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible
• Knowledge of installing, configuring, operating, and monitoring software security pipeline tools
• Strong understanding of network essentials and system administration exposure
• Advanced knowledge in one or more scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Python, Go as well as experience using external APIs in automation code
• Advanced knowledge and work experience on technologies like Azure Pipelines, SVN, GIT
• Experience in excerpting metrics and results from CI/CD security tools
• Advanced knowledge of Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
• Good understanding of Security / Privacy by Design
• Excellent use of the English language (verbal & written). Knowledge of French would be considered as asset
