The mission


The purpose of the job is to provide legal and regulatory support to OneLife in order to ensure that the company complies with all relevant laws, codes, rules, regulations and standards of good market practice in Luxembourg and any others juridictions where it operates.


Main tasks


  • Monitoring of laws and regulations and providing analysis (scope, requirements, risks,…) to the Management and/or internal departments.
  • Implementing laws and regulations within the company and/or supporting internal departments in their implementation.
  • Participating in regulatory projects.
  • Contributing to best practice in all regulatory matters.
  • Carrying out compliance audits to assess the company’s level of compliance with laws and regulations,
  • Providing legal and regulatory support (to internal departments) on issues related to insurance business and markets.
  • Checking compliance of contractual, pre-contractual, advertising and marketing documents.
  • Centralising correspondence with regulatory authorities and issue reports to the Management.
  • Ensuring and/or assisting in the preparation and sending of various reporting for regulatory or tax authorities.
  • Ability to identify IT or process impacts deriving from regulatory projects
  • Ability to design and make connection with internal stakeholders to define and draft request for changes


Profile


  • At least 3 years’ experience in the finance industry or law firm. Experience in insurance industry is an asset.
  • Legal qualification (Luxembourgish, French or Belgian). Bar qualification is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills (being able to build effective relationships and adapt communication style to the counterparty, always in a professional manner).
  • Ability to listen to other opinions as well as being confident of your own and find balanced solutions
  •  Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Capacity of working independently and able to demonstrate a high level of initiative, problem solving and decision making.
  • Possess drive, influential and persuasive skills as well as the ability to achieve results through working in a logical and systematic manner.
  • Reliability and accountability.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools.
  • French and English (fluent) is mandatory. Additional languages would be an advantage.
