Role: Senior Accountant

Location: Luxembourg

Salary: €70,000 – €90,000 + performance bonus

You take pride in clean reconciliations, structured reporting, and making sure financial information can stand up to scrutiny.

You’re comfortable digging into discrepancies, explaining financial movements, and ensuring the control environment stays strong as a company grows.

This is a high-trust accounting role within Bizcap’s expanding European finance team, where your work directly supports decision-making across a fast-scaling fintech business.

What you'll do

• Deliver accurate and timely month-end financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies, ensuring ledger integrity and control reliability
• Maintain and improve internal control processes to support regulatory compliance across European entities
• Support external audits and tax preparation, including VAT and supporting documentation
• Prepare financial analysis that clearly explains variances, trends, and reporting movements
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and leadership teams to ensure accurate financial reporting

Who we're looking for

Must-Haves

• 3–5 years experience in corporate accounting
• Professional working proficiency in German and English
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Strong knowledge of European accounting standards and tax frameworks
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools
• Practical experience with month-end close, ledger reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit preparation.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated environments
• Experience working across multi-entity or cross-border finance teams
• Exposure to VAT preparation and European tax authority requirements
• Experience improving financial processes, documentation, or control frameworks
